The Interior House Painting Process

Step 1: Selecting Interior Paint Colors

Choosing what color to paint your house can be overwhelming when Sherwin Williams alone has over 1700 colors for your painting project. First we will sit down with you and listen to your vision for your home. From their we will be able to make suggestions about color pallets, trending paint colors, and common examples to narrow down what is the right color and the right paint. After that we can try some samples and see how the lighting plays off the walls. Sometimes you just want the same color you just want touch ups. If you know the name of the product and color you used or have the original paint can we can get a direct color match, otherwise we can get a very close match and paint the entire wall that will leave you completely satisfied.

Step 2: Protecting the Entire House

Our experienced interior house painters understand when you let us into your home to treat it as respectful as they would their own. When it comes to painting prep work you can cannot be careful enough. First we take all the pictures off of the walls and move all the furniture into the center of the room. We use clean paper, drop clothes, and plastic to ensure all floors, furniture, light fixtures, and any other unpainted surfaces are properly masked so that there is not any chance of drips or splatters on a single inch of your house.

Step 3: Preparing the Surface

The key to a fantastic paint job is all in the prep work. Whether its making sure drywall repairs are primed, holes from pictures are filled in, or cracks in between the baseboard and the wall are caulked. We will scrape off any peeling or old paint in order to make the surface properly prepared. We will meticulously go over each inch of your entire house to make sure your interior paint job looks amazing once painted.

Step 4: Painting Your Home’s Interior

Once each wall is prepped and primed it’s time to apply your paint. Our experienced painters use premium quality products to ensure a uniform finish throughout your entire home. The finish options you selected during your color selection will vary from flat, matte, satin, eggshell, semi-gloss and gloss. We will help you understand the benefits of each finish so that your painting project is a beautiful job.

Step 5: Clean Up

Now it’s time for our interior painters to do a thorough and meticulous clean up of your house. Fortunately we did not skip the prepping process and made sure everything was masked so this is merely a matter of removing the paper masking, the plastic, and folding drop clothes. We then put your furniture and wall decorations back to the way they originally were. We then do a thorough sweep and vacuum through out the rooms we painted to ensure the only evidence we were ever there is the excellent job on your ceiling, trim and walls.

Step 5: Doing a Final Walk Through With You

After we have completed our own walk through we will inspect the house with you to ensure you are completely satisfied with your home’s interior. Once you feel like we have done an amazing job you may also be contacted to let us know how we did so we can know how our painting crews can improve and become more efficient. Once you feel like we did an excellent job the 2 year warranty on your house begins. During that time you can contact us if you have any issues. After our warranty you can count on the quality products we use to last for up to 7-10 years.
